Huge saving potential in Streetlight

According to estimates of the E-STREET project, approximately 70 million streetlight luminaries illuminate Europe’s roads. Upgrading them over a period of 10-15 years would result in massive energy savings given that average improvement is in the 40-70% range. Meetings with manufacturers of new technology used in intelligent street lighting at Light and Building in Frankfurt (April 2006) showed increasing interest from the worlds leading developers.
