Status - Documentation

The WP2 report “Review and market assessment” is completed and the extract from the report is  the annual saving potential is estimated to 38 TWh/year.

Status - installation of luminaries

6500 luminaries for intelligent street lighting have been installed in Oslo and 400 luminaries are replaced in Gothenburg. In Bulgaria one region close to Varna, they use bipolar transistors. Approximately 1000 luminaries have been changed the last year. In Oslo a new tender, 6000 units are under contract negotiations. In Finland there are several projects ongoing, but no final reports are available pt. In the Netherlands, a new highway project, 2300 luminaries are installed.

Status - Prepare for vote within CIE one (or two) new standard(s) under Division 4 - Road lighting.

The Technical Committee work (TC 4-44, publ 115) within CIE is in god progress. There have been several meetings, and status is to be given at the assembly in Athens in September 2006. The timetable is to launch the new publication for vote in February 2007 and there will be a presentation at the CIE general assembly in Beijing in July 2007.

Status - "full integrated" administrative Intelligent street lighting software package

Oslo has in October 2006 put into order an administrative Intelligent street lighting software package. The implementation is in good progress, and the system will be presented at the next project meeting in Oslo, May 2007.

Status- Test EPC/PC and or TPF contract in real action within the project team

IB is working on the testing out the contract in Germany. Oslo municipality wants to evaluate the model and possibly try to incorporate this in a smaller project.

Status- A series of dissemination activities

Mr. Johansson has published 2 articles in Swedes most relevant publications concerning outdoor lighting: ERA and Ljuskultur.  

ERA is the largest power market magazine in Sweden and the Nordic countries. ERA is published by Sweden energy, the association of the Swedish electricity utilities, and is read by all employees in the Swedish electricity sector. ERA also goes out to all distributors and producers of power in Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

Ljuskultur is the trade magazine when it comes to lighting in Sweden.

Architects, light designers and delivers/marketing people of luminaries

Mr. Johansson will also attend the following seminars and present E-street at the following events:

·          GR - August 2007.

Energy saved

Based on installation of 2000 units in Oslo (Oppsal) the report shows that the annual average energy reduction is 65 % for the installation. This figure will vary for different installation depending on the technological status for the original installation.
